Pastry Sous Chef/Pastry Assistant Needed Casalena is growing and we are looking to add to our team of professionals. We are seeking an experienced pastry sous chef or pastry assistant to join our team. Responsibilities: Execute all aspects of pastry production, including bread baking, cake decorating, laminated dough, and more. Craft wedding cakes, cookies, tarts, custards, mousses, quick breads, and other aspects of desserts with precision and finesse. May need to work dinner service occasionally, but the bulk of responsibilities will be high volume production. Requirements: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in all aspects of pastry. Preference given to those who have worked in high-volume establishments. Proficiency in a variety of pastry techniques is essential. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining standards. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Current food handler’s permit or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire. Schedule: shifts run from 3:30 PM to 12/1 AM, demanding commitment during evening hours.
